Visit Marshall, MN
Traveling Trivia is a new event brought to the City of Marshall by Visit Marshall. The goal is to provide weekday entertainment for those living in or visiting Marshall. Visit Marshall has an agreement with Quest Trivia, a company out of St. Louis, Missouri, to provide trivia to the city of Marshall one time per month, unless otherwise scheduled. Trivia consists of 5 rounds. The first round will be a paper round and the following 4 rounds will be live. Limited theme trivia rounds are available, upon request.
Location Selection Process & Responsibilites:
Locations will be determined on first come, first served basis. Only one venue will be selected each month and will be confirmed at least one month prior to the scheduled date.
Locations will be responsible for providing prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place to the teams. Prizes can be in whatever form the venue prefers. Prize examples include apparel, gift cards, and meal vouchers. It is also recommended, but not required, to provide a prize for the winners of one or more of the 5 rounds of trivia.
Cost is typically determined based on the success of the event. Cost includes the price of the trivia program, the emcee, and Visit Marshall to manage the event.
Temporarily, during the COVID-19 Pandemic, the cost to the restaurant will be $50 to host.
Trivia will always be a free activity for all bar/restaurant customers.
Visit Marshall will provide Traveling Trivia as an option for private events such as holiday parties, company meetings, team building, etc. Private events will require a minimum of 20 guests. There will be two options available:
- Three live rounds: $50
- One paper round & four live rounds: $100
Private events must be booked at least two weeks prior and are subject to CVB availability.
Visit Marshall will provide fliers to each venue and will distribute to high traffic establishments around Marshall. A Facebook event will be created, adding the venue as a co-host, and an advertisement will be placed on the Precision Marketing billboard at the corner of Highway 23 and Highway 59.
